Kidest (Mimi) Hailegiorghis was named a Technology All-Star, and Veronica Berryman and Andrean Colón-Padilla were named Rising Stars of Technology. MITRE's Harry W. Vasquez Receives National Reconnaissance Office Superior Service Award McLean, Virginia, July 5, 2005 Harry W. Vasquez, director of intelligence integration at The MITRE Corporation, recently received the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) Medal of Superior Service. The award was presented to Vasquez for his 12 years of outstanding service as the senior program manager for MITRE's NRO program and for his contributions to the NRO's mission. MITRE Places 10th on "100 Best Places to Work in IT" List Bedford, Massachusetts, July 5, 2005 The MITRE Corporation is pleased to announce that it has been named to Computerworld's "100 Best Places to Work in IT" list. MITRE was ranked 10th on the list. Metzger, vice president of MITRE's Center for Air Force Command and Control Systems (CAFC2S), has received the Benjamin H. Oliver Gold Medal for Engineering. MITRE Engineers Honored by U.S. Department of State Bedford, Massachusetts, May 12, 2005 Two MITRE engineers recently received a Superior Honor Award from the U.S. Department of State for their role in advancing U.S.-European Union cooperation on the U.S. Global Positioning System (GPS) and Galileo, the satellite navigation system being developed by the European Union.
