Ms. Elizabeth J. Keefer Board Member Since 2001
During her career, Ms. Keefer has been deputy under secretary of the U.S. Air Force, a senior official in the office of the legal adviser at the U.S. Department of State, a partner with the international law firm of Hughes, Hubbard & Reed, and general counsel for Teledyne Inc. Ms. Keefer has served as a board member of the Women's Refugee Commission, an advocacy group that works to improve the lives and defend the rights of refugee and internally displaced women and children. A 1971 cum laude graduate of Barnard College, Ms. Keefer earned her law degree with honors from George Washington University in 1977.

Ms. Elizabeth J. Keefer is senior vice president of TMG Strategies, a communications consulting firm. With a strong research and business consulting base, the firm has been managing communications reputation and business communications issues of major corporations, nonprofits, and universities for more than 20 years. Ms. Keefer joined the firm after retiring from Columbia University, where she served as General Counsel from 1997 to 2008.
