Mr. David R. Moody Executive Director Mr. David Moody is Executive Director of MITRE's Information Technology Division in MITRE's Center for Integrated Intelligence Systems (CIIS). Mr. Moody's division is a MITRE corporate resource for advanced information technology and expertise with over 270 technical staff distributed across the National Capital area; Bedford, Massachusetts; and sites around the world. He is responsible for the leadership of the following core competencies: Advanced Networking Technology; Cloud Computing; Big Data and Analytics; Multimedia and Collaboration; Human Language Technology; Information and Knowledge Management; Social and Behavioral Sciences; Geospatial Technology and Information Technology Architectures. Mr. Moody is responsible for the direction of advanced research and engineering for intelligence and defense capabilities supporting a broad range of customers and missions. Mr. Moody's division provides technical experts knowledgeable in advanced laboratories, critical research computing facilities and infrastructures to projects and staff across MITRE and our customer base. These resources allow research, experimentation, prototyping and evaluation of key information technologies, concepts of operations and new analytics. Prior to his present position, Mr. Moody was the Associate Technical Director for the MITRE Air Force Space, Intelligence and Information Operations Division. Mr. Moody was the Chief Engineer for the Air Force (AF) Electronic Systems Center (ESC) Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Integration Sponsor (ESC/SR). As chief engineer, he provided technical advice and counsel to the AF Systems Program Director. He led the execution of the ESC/SR technical work program and established consistent, cross cutting systems engineering processes and policies. The AF programs included: Integrated Broadcast Service; Airborne Intelligence System; Multi-Media Messaging System; Integrated Training System; AF Distributed Common Ground System; ISR Manager; Eagle Vision Commercial Imagery System; Advanced Remote Ground Unattended System; and Information Warfare Planning Capability. Mr. Moody is on MITRE's National Security Engineering Center's project leader training council. He shapes the curriculum and teaches and mentors project leaders. Mr. Moody is on several corporate strategic planning teams where he shapes MITRE goals, initiatives, and technical quality programs. In previous assignments, Mr. Moody was a member of the MITRE National and Military Space Programs Executive Council (MSEC). The MSEC promotes cross program integration and mission assurance of National Security Space programs. He served as a member of the CIIS Systems Engineering Council (CSEC). The CSEC aims at improving the practice of systems and enterprise engineering at MITRE. Mr. Moody served on MITRE's Center for Information and Technology customer council. The council defines corporate center information technology business needs and contributes to the definition and validation of the corporate enterprise architecture roadmap. Additionally, Mr. Moody was a member of the CIIS Senior Advisory Council (CSAC). The CSAC addresses high level cross cutting issues of importance to MITRE's customers in the Intelligence and Defense Communities. Mr. Moody has over thirty years of experience in information systems and technology in support of the Air Force and Intelligence Community. Mr. Moody has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics concentrated in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. He completed a Leadership Development Program conducted by the Dupree College of Management at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has completed Graduate Courses in Computer Information Systems at Boston University. |
