Collaboration Evaluation

Unless new collaborative technologies fulfill a customer need they will probably not be adopted for widespread use. At venues like the Navy-sponsored Simulation Experiment (SIMEX) and the Joint Expeditionary Force Experiment (JEFX), the Multimedia and Collaboration Department (G061) evaluates the use of collaborative systems and examines emergent behaviors. Using techniques like contextual inquiry and ethnographic observation we can make recommendations for improvements in both the technologies themselves as well as the processes for how people use
