BNN is a web-based tool that automatically captures, annotates, segments, summarizes and visualizes stories from broadcast news video. The BNN, developed by The MITRE Corporation, solves the problem of time-consuming, manual video acquisition techniques that frequently result in inconsistent, error-full or incomplete products. The system helps users quickly collect stories of interest from many hours of video. In addition, BNN's web-based interface enables quick access to personalized multimedia news from diverse sources via a customizable user interface.
