MITRE's Commission on Inclusion and Diversity is an advisory council that supports the strategic vision of inclusion and diversity across the organization. MITRE also encourages participation in its Employee Councils, which collaborate, advocate, and support MITRE on topics related to diversity, inclusion, talent acquisition, and STEM. The Councils offer MITRE diverse thinking around issues and advocacy to support and embrace a more inclusive culture. They include:
- Accessibility Council: Brings awareness and access to advocates and employees with disabilities
- Multi-Cultural Employee Resource Group: Brings together employees from differing cultures
- Multi-Gen Council: Provides a platform for multiple generations
- Pride Council: Brings together members of the LGBTQ+ community and allies
- Veteran Council: Connects veterans and advocates
- Women's Council: Provides a pathway to bring together women and advocates
- STEM Council: A centralized STEM/STEAM resource for MITRE
Many national organizations and publications have honored us for creating an inclusive and diverse workforce where people don't just have jobs—they build careers. We're also proud to be named to the HBCU (historically black college and university) Top Supporters List for 2019.
