The 2007 Netted Sensors Community Workshop is focused on Expeditionary ISR (EISR) and providing the tactical unit leader with tools to counter asymmetric and irregular threats in expeditionary engagements.
The Workshop will consist of two days; Day 1 (3 May) allocated to the discussion of unclassified material and Day 2 (4 May) allocated to the discussion of classified material pertaining to Netted Sensor research and development efforts within the community relating to Expeditionary ISR.
The unclassified session on 3 May is divided into 3 topic areas: New Netted Sensor Programs, Netted Sensor Systems, and Communications, Networking, and Security. Following the presentations in each of these topic areas, there will be a 15 minute discussion session on the presentations / topic area. Throughout the day, there will be a continual Poster Paper Exhibit. The day will conclude with a Cocktail Reception and Dinner.
The classified session on 4 May is also divided into 3 topic areas: New Netted Sensor Programs, Today’s Expeditionary ISR, and Communication Enablers for Expeditionary ISR. The day will conclude with a round table discussion on Tomorrow’s Expeditionary ISR – how to get from what is available today for Expeditionary ISR to what is needed tomorrow in order to successfully support military operations.
