Collaborative Virtual
Workspace
Collaborative Virtual Workspace (CVW) is part of The MITRE Corporation's
response to post-Cold War contingencies. CVW also reflects MITRE's
freedom to experiment with leading-edge technology in the context
of systems engineering.
Organization-Wide Learning
(OWL) Helps Users Learn Information Technology Skills
A major learning task confronting workers today is mastering the
rapidly changing information technology (IT) on their desktops. A
MITRE research project, Organization Wide Learning (OWL), is assisting
MITRE staff in learning new IT skills in an effective and time-efficient
manner.
Knowledge Discovery
from Data and Data Mining
Several MITRE project teams are researching data mining techniques
to assist customers in better utilizing data collections.

Deep Space Surveillance:
The GEODSS Program at MITRE
The Ground-Based Electro-Optical Deep Space Surveillance (GEODSS)
program, is a system that tracks and catalogs deep-space objects such
as satellites and man-made debris. In this project showcase, MITRE
Project Leader David Potter and his colleagues share some vignettes
of how MITRE brought "depth, breadth, and continuity of knowledge
over time."
High
Level Architecture
Considering its longstanding partnership with the U.S. Department
of Defense (DOD) and the many successful projects it has helped to
bring to life, it is easy to see why MITRE has been an integral part
of the development of the High Level Architecture (HLA).
Applying
Microelectronics
MITRE's Center for Air Force C2 Systems is well known for providing
its customers with innovative, resourceful solutions to some of their
most challenging technical dilemmas.
MITRE's IRS
