MITRE engineers have been working with the Department of Veterans
Affairs and private-sector contractors to get more veterans benefits
processed and paid through VETSNET. The new program works so well
that the number of veterans receiving their monthly payments through
VETSNET has increased from some 10,000 a year ago to over 200,000
now.
