| MITRE's Allan McClure Honored with the Intelligence Community Seal Medallion FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MITRE Contacts: Karina H. Wright Eryn L. Gallagher Bedford, Massachusetts, December 6, 2000 — At a special ceremony at CIA headquarters in Langley, Virginia, Director of Central Intelligence George Tenet awarded the Intelligence Community Seal Medallion to Allan H. McClure of the MITRE Corporation. The Medallion is reserved for non-agency persons who make crucial contributions to the CIA's mission. McClure's contribution was to develop software and hardware that will facilitate the exchange of information between the United States and its coalition partners. McClure provides systems engineering support for the U.S. Joint Forces Command in Norfolk, Virginia. Before joining MITRE in 1993, McClure retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of Major. He is a graduate of Seattle University where he received a bachelor's of science degree in Engineering. He currently lives in Chesapeake, Virginia.
