MITRE Announces Promotion of Raymond Haller to Senior Vice President and General Manager FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MITRE Contacts: Karina H. Wright Eryn L. Gallagher McLean, Va., July 6, 2004 — The MITRE Corporation's President and Chief Executive Officer Martin Faga is pleased to announce the promotion of Raymond Haller to senior vice president and general manager of the Washington Command, Control and Communications Center (WC3). WC3 is one of the three centers that comprise the Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence (C3I) Federally Funded Research and Development Center (FFRDC), operated by MITRE for the Department of Defense (DoD). In his new role, Haller will be responsible for the overall direction of work conducted for the Army, Navy, Defense Information Systems Agency, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Office of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other members of the national security community. Said Faga: "Ray's exemplary work on DoD technological transformation with our sponsors, and his long and varied service as a leader at MITREs have prepared him well for his top role in WC3." Haller joined MITRE in 1977. He previously held the position of vice president of WC3. He holds a bachelor's and a master's degree in electrical engineering from Union College and George Washington University, respectively. In the fall of 2001, he completed the Program for Management Development at Harvard Business School. MITRE (www.mitre.org) is a not-for-profit national resource that provides systems engineering, research and development, and information technology support to the government. It operates federally funded research and development centers for the Department of Defense, the Federal Aviation Administration and the Internal Revenue Service, with principal locations in Bedford, Mass., and McLean, Va.
