MITRE's Washington Facilities to Adopt New Telephone Exchange—883 Replaced by 983

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

McLean, Virginia, April 11, 2005 — Effective Friday, April 15, The MITRE Corporation's Washington campus and the Greensboro building will have new external phone numbers. Our previous 883 exchange will be 983. Our area code will remain 703 and employees' extensions will remain unchanged. The corporation's main number will be (703) 983-6000.

The change affects all phone numbers for employees, on-site sponsor and vendor staff, and other services.

MITRE (www.mitre.org) is a not-for-profit company that provides systems engineering, research and development, and information technology support to the government. It operates federally funded research and development centers for the Department of Defense, the Federal Aviation Administration and the Internal Revenue Service, with principal locations in Bedford, Massachusetts, and McLean, Virginia.
