Association of Old Crows Presents Board of Directors Award to Two MITRE Employees FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MITRE Contacts: Karina H. Wright Eryn L. Gallagher MCLEAN, Va., October 20, 2009 — In a ceremony held at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel yesterday, the Association of Old Crows (AOC) awarded MITRE employees Harriet Goldman and John Woodward its prestigious Board of Directors Award. The ceremony was part of the AOC's 46th Annual International Symposium and Convention. Woodward is Executive Director of Space, Intelligence and Information Systems, and Goldman is Director of Integration for Mission Assurance. The two collaborated on a project that was part of MITRE's overall corporate effort in cyber mission assurance. Their recommendations focused on ways to counter mid-level and high-end threats to critical information technology systems, and to assure mission-critical operations even while in a degraded state. "I'm especially proud of their receiving this AOC high honor," said Robert Nesbit, Senior Vice President and Director of MITRE's Center for Integrated Intelligence Systems. "Harriet and John have collaborated in an effort that has resulted in invaluable support to our nation's information operations. Their work will result in an increased capability to withstand cyber threats in the future."
