MITRE Named a "Great Place to Work" by Washingtonian Magazine FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MITRE Contacts: Karina H. Wright Eryn L. Gallagher MCLEAN, Va., October 23, 2009 — The MITRE Corporation has been named a "Great Place to Work" by Washingtonian magazine, an award-winning monthly magazine serving the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. This biennial survey rates 50 local area companies on a variety of measures, including pay and benefits, flexibility, and professional development opportunities. MITRE was chosen from more than 200 employers representing a wide range of industries and ranging in size from very small companies to major employers with tens of thousands of employees. Specific benefits cited included work-life balance, opportunities to learn and grow, and recognition and respect given employees. The company also made the list in 2007 and 2005.
