Fast Company Names MITRE One of the "World's 50 Most Innovative Companies"

BEDFORD, Mass., and MCLEAN, Va., February 19, 2010 — Fast Company has ranked The MITRE Corporation number 30 on its 2010 list of the "World's 50 Most Innovative Companies." The company ranked number one in defense on the monthly magazine's "Top 10 by Industry" list. This is MITRE's first year on the prestigious list.

MITRE was specifically cited for its electronic medical record standards work on behalf of the Department of Veterans Affairs and the rapid fingerprinting technology being developed for the Department of Homeland Security.

MITRE joins an elite set of companies with this recognition. Others named to the 2010 list include Amazon, Apple, GE, Google, and HP.
