MITRE Named to Glassdoor.com's 50 Best Places to Work List FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MITRE Contacts: Karina H. Wright Eryn L. Gallagher MCLEAN, Va., December 15, 2011 — For the fourth year in a row, The MITRE Corporation has been named to Glassdoor.com's Employees' Choice list of the 50 Best Places to Work. This year MITRE ranked number 4, up from number 12 last year, on the career and workplace site's list of the top U.S. companies. The Employees' Choice Awards rely solely on the input of employees, who provide feedback on their work environment and senior management throughout the year via an anonymous 20-question survey. The survey addresses eight workplace factors including work/life balance, career opportunities, communication, compensation and benefits, fairness and respect, employee morale, recognition and feedback, and senior leadership. The 50 ranked companies are chosen from among nearly 65,000 companies rated by their employees on the Glassdoor website. "We're pleased our employees have rated us so highly on the Glassdoor survey," said MITRE President and Chief Executive Officer Alfred Grasso. "It affirms our commitment to making MITRE a great place to work, which in turn helps us to attract the most talented individuals in their fields so that we can help our government sponsors achieve their mission goals." "Glassdoor's Employees' Choice Awards recognize stand-out companies that have retained the support and commitment of their employees despite the tough economic climate," said Robert Hohman, co-founder and CEO of Glassdoor. "Through anonymous employee reviews and surveys, Glassdoor offers a unique look into the top U.S. employers and some of the factors that make employees at these companies more satisfied with their jobs."
