MITRE CEO Alfred Grasso Named to Federal 100 List FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MITRE Contacts: Karina H. Wright Eryn L. Gallagher MCLEAN, Va., February 22, 2012 — The MITRE Corporation's President and CEO Alfred Grasso has been named to Federal Computer Week's Federal 100 list for 2012. The magazine's annual list recognizes government and industry leaders who play pivotal roles in the federal government IT community. According to Federal Computer Week, the award is for "individuals who have gone above and beyond their daily responsibilities and have made a difference in the way technology has transformed their agency or accelerated their agency's mission." This year's winners, chosen by a select panel of government and industry leaders, include 23 people from private industry, one from local government, and 76 from the federal government. "I'm honored to be on this list of very accomplished individuals, which includes many colleagues that MITRE is proud to serve," Grasso said. "Although my name is on this award, it's really about the important work everyone performs at MITRE." Federal 100 award winners will be honored at a gala on March 28, 2012, at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, D.C. In 2007, Jim Cook, vice president and director of MITRE's Center for Enterprise Modernization, was named to the Federal 100 list for his role in helping shape the IRS' modernization vision and strategy.
