MITRE Celebrates Move to New Building in Shiloh, Ill. FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: MITRE Contacts: Karina H. Wright Eryn L. Gallagher SHILOH, Ill., May 4, 2012 — The MITRE Corporation marked the official opening of its new office in Shiloh, Ill., with a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 3. The move to the larger, leased space provides a home base for the company's nearly 100 area employees, who have been located in two separate offices in nearby O'Fallon, Ill., since the mid-1990s. MITRE's Shiloh-based staff largely support Scott Air Force Base, including the United States Transportation Command, the Air Mobility Command, and the Program Executive Office Integration and Distributed Common Ground System-Army. "The Shiloh community has been most welcoming," said Raymond Haller, MITRE senior vice president and general manager of the company's Center for Integrated Intelligence Systems. "This move will further strengthen the relationship between our technical staff and customers at Scott AFB, and combining our two offices allows our employees to work together more easily and efficiently." Haller was joined at the event by David Lehman, MITRE senior vice president and chief operations officer; Frank Quick, executive director of MITRE's Commands, Technology, and Intelligence Integration; Cynthia K. Sturm, site leader and department head of MITRE's St. Louis operations; senior Air Force representatives; Shiloh Mayor Jim Vernier; and leaders of the O'Fallon-Shiloh Chamber of Commerce. "We're delighted to be in this state-of-the-art facility," said Sturm, who has led the site since October 2011. "The building's amenities better equip our staff to meet the needs of our sponsors in the region." MITRE is leasing the 22,000-square-foot building, which is owned by Maune Co. and located one mile from Scott AFB at 505 Corporate Center Dr. (intersection of 158 and Seibert Rd.). McGrath & Associates Inc. served as the owner's representative; Contegra Construction Co. was the general contractor; and M+H Architects was the architect.
