| Hsin Named as AvInt Vice President MITRE Contacts: Karina H. Wright Eryn L. Gallagher October 26, 1998 — The MITRE Corporation's President and Chief Executive Officer Victor A. DeMarines announced that the MITRE Board of Trustees has named Dr. Chen-Chung Hsin of Potomac, MD, as Vice President of AvInt (Aviation International), an affiliate of The MITRE Corporation. MITRE is an independent, not-for-profit systems engineering firm engaged in scientific and technical activities in the public interest. Dr. Hsin will be based at AvInt's corporate headquarters in McLean, VA. AvInt was established in October 1997, to conduct work for international clients in the Air Traffic Control and airport arena. Dr. Hsin will manage the development of AvInt's aviation activity with particular emphasis in the Far East region. Prior to joining AvInt, Dr. Hsin served as director of international programs for MITRE's Center for Advanced Aviation System Development. Before that, he was with ARINC, Inc., in Annapolis, MD, as Senior Director of Strategic Marketing and Special Assistant to the General Manager. Dr. Hsin holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National Taiwan University, a Master of Science Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from MIT.
