synthetic aperture radar algorithm improves blurred images

blurred image

MITRE has invented a new Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) algorithm for detecting, tracking, and identifying high-value targets moving on the ground (the idea of Synthetic Aperture is explained in "A Hitchhiker's Guide to Radar Fundamentals"). Previously, researchers had not been able to find practical ways to solve the problem of trying to decipher blurred images when tracking targets that are moving in an unknown way.

To read about our solution, see SAR Imaging and Detection of Moving Targets.
