Ada Solutions for Compliant Date Routines

There are various approaches to developing compliant libraries and routines which will provide the bridging mechanisms to convert and use various date formats. The example provided here has the routines necessary for displaying and converting two-digit year formats and four-digit year formats.

Below are links to an Ada Dates Package Specification and its corresponding body, an accompanying routine needed to compile the Dates Package, and an additional Dates Utility Package for use with the Ada Dates Package.

Suggestions or Ideas
We would like to add more information about solutions. If you have current activities, suggestions or ideas, please consider sharing them via the solutions idea form. One such solution we would like to share is Tim Hawkins' idea to use a mapping that would not require changing the size of date data in existing databases.
