Photos & Video DARPA Video Submission View and Download the Video As part of the Grand Challenge submission requirements, the MITRE Meteorites prepared a five-minute video, which included a walk around tour of the vehicle, a sample of the "live action" test runs conducted to document autonomous driving, and selected snippets from past trials.

This coordinated view from video frame images shows how sensor detection of obstacles (lightpole, trashbarrel, hedgerow) are represented on the internal monitor (for human observation). The zones described around the obstacle (yellow) represent caution areas for the vehicle to proceed through until it can reach (approximately) the next waypoint. |
