Overview

MITRE's extensive work in communications and networking involves developments in areas such as local- and wide-area network protocols, optical networks, and wireless and satellite communications. This work has far-reaching uses for both military and civilian applications, from the battlefield to our national airspace, to our national borders, to the vast computer systems used by government agencies.

In addition, we have technical centers of excellence that serve MITRE as a resource for designing and applying advanced communications and networking technologies. Our skills include:
