This technology area encompasses systems that help people improve judging information so they can make better decisions. Our sponsors are faced with decision making by multiple entities in complex, dynamically changing environments. We focus on cognitive-centered decision support applications and on new methods and tools for developing effective systems that support decision making. Research areas include developing better support systems that take into account human decision making, and demonstrating decision aids that advance the state of the art.
