This core area examines the cost-benefit tradeoffs of proposed actions and investments to provide sound decision-making and budgeting for our sponsors. Investment strategies focus on forecasting costs and structuring investments, while operations analysis focuses on measuring and increasing benefits. Investment strategies use analytical methods, processes, and tools to help sponsors make funding decisions that take into account their changing regulatory environment and their need to adopt new technologies and business strategies. Operations analysis employs methods from operations research and systems analysis to model, analyze, and measure the performance of processes and systems to systematically improve the performance of the sponsor's enterprise.
