General Terms and Conditions
- Anyone can participate, including academic institutions, commercial companies, government laboratories, and individuals. (See Rules, Terms, and Conditions for complete guidelines.)
- Upon registration, teams must provide a name, email address, and affiliation of a contact person.
- There is no limit to the number of submissions per team.
- The team that produces a result that demonstrates the greatest performance improvement over the baseline algorithm, as measured by MAP, will be declared the winner. The team must be able to produce the system/algorithm that produced the winning result, as well as reproduce the result in the presence of the MITRE Challenge team to be certified as the winner.
- The Challenge will commence with an initial beta period, during which a subset of submissions may be hand-scored to validate scoring methodology. After the beta period, final scores will be calculated using the updated methodology.
