Working in the Public Interest
MITRE's Center for Transforming Health (CTH) is dedicated to improving healthcare through technology-based transformation. CTH advises federal agencies through all phases of the evolution of their health technology, from high-level
strategic planning to program acquisition and oversight.
Achieving universal access to affordable, high-quality care requires streamlined processes and innovative information
technology. The health sector is at the beginning of a long and complex process of transformation interconnecting a fragmented collection of providers, payers, suppliers, planners, researchers, government agencies (federal, tribal, state, local, and territorial), and business entities. Forging an integrated system that delivers more value and higher quality to our citizens is a necessity. This large-scale integration—transforming the health sector into a health system—is a cross-boundary change management challenge of the highest magnitude.
Customers
MITRE supports the full spectrum of federal roles in health, including health research, regulatory affairs,
healthcare delivery, emergency preparedness and response, cybersecurity and privacy, and healthcare finance. Our commitment to strategic partnership begins with adopting our customers' health missions as our own and then developing solutions that deliver measurable results. MITRE provides a comprehensive, government-wide perspective broadened further by consultation with industry and academia.
