The hData effort focuses on creating standards that accelerate health data interoperability and allow the exchange of health information using simple, proven technologies. By separating the data content from the technical specifications, hData leverages the work of the health IT community while building a technically robust and modern 'container.' hData deploys a lightweight standard that can grow as necessary to support the changing healthcare environment. |

Laika is a collaborative effort with the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT), one of two bodies recognized by Health and Human Services (HHS) for electronic health record (EHR) certification. Laika analyzes and reports on the interoperability capabilities of EHR systems, including the testing for certification of EHR software products and networks. The underlying code of Laika was repurposed to be an integral part of popHealth, a population health reporting prototype developed for the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC). |

medCafe is a composable software framework that allows a user to build a personal view of a patient record using a set of tools to allow rapid access to patient data for clinical care workers, and decrease the time to reacquire patient data from multiple distributed sources. |

popHealth is an open source reference implementation software service that automates the reporting of Meaningful Use quality measures. popHealth integrates with a healthcare provider's electronic health record (EHR) system using continuity of care records. popHealth streamlines the automated generation of summary quality measure reports on the provider's patient population. |
