The TIGER Initiative aims to enable practicing nurses and nursing students to fully engage in the unfolding digital electronic era in healthcare aligning with the HITECH and PPACA legislation and funding.
MITRE joins the TIGER Initiative in their excitement about the recent publication of "Nursing Informatics: Where Technology and Caring Meet" and the vision for TIGER moving forward to integrate the full set of recommendations from the publication into the nursing community along with colleagues from disciplines across the continuum of care. Elizabeth Halley, RN, MBA, Principal Health Information Technology, MITRE authored the chapter "Standards and Interoperability" in the publication.
