The Homeland Security Systems Engineering and Development Institute—or HS SEDI™—is a federally funded research and development center (FFRDC) sponsored by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) through its Science and Technology Directorate (S&T).
Our mission is to connect and integrate across DHS to secure America through independent, conflict-free capabilities in systems engineering and acquisition. Our three main goals are to:
- Improve acquisition programs.
- Increase organizational capability and governance.
- Strengthen integration and interoperability.
