In the cyber ecosystem, people, organizations, and systems interact in dynamic, ever-changing ways. This creates not only opportunity for business, commerce, and communication, but also a target-rich environment for malicious activity that threatens our nation's security. HS SEDI is working with DHS to promote innovative approaches to address these threats through a shared vision of the cyber ecosystem of the future—where individuals, industry, academia, and government collaborate to predict likely attacks, limit their spread, minimize their consequences, and work together to change the equation prior to attacks.
HS SEDI is in a unique position to help DHS secure and protect our nation's cyber assets, critical data, and key resources. MITRE operates HS SEDI in addition to FFRDCs for the Department of Defense (DoD) (which includes support to the DoD Cyber Command and National Security Agency) and other federal civilian organizations involved with improving the nation's cybersecurity posture. As a result, SEDI is helping DHS facilitate engagement and build common capacities for protection across government agencies, including adoption of cybersecurity best practices, standards, technologies, and programs.
Our DHS Cyber Sponsors include:
