Members of MITRE's Privacy Community of Practice have written a government privacy reference book entitled U.S. Government Privacy: Essential Policies and Practices for Privacy Professionals. The book, published in March 2009, is the complete reference guide to privacy principles and terminology, privacy policy implementation, program auditing and compliance, and records management practices in U.S. government and is distributed by the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP). This book was a team effort across MITRE centers and serves as a resource for anyone doing government privacy work.
