Research
MITRE researchers work closely with our sponsors and customers to solve their organizations' most difficult and pressing challenges. Examples of this research include:
Net-Enabled Traffic Flow Management (TFM)
The goal of this research is to develop a flexible, scalable, and extensible TFM architecture framework to meet NextGen research needs. The framework will enable agility in research and capability deployment through rapid integration of reusable, discoverable service interfaces, and use information for advanced visualization and net-enabled shared decision-making.

Advanced Stream Mining for Assistive Analysis
The Sensor Data Analysis Framework (SDAF) developed an SOA framework capable of delivering both historic and real-time sensor data via an integrated query. Due to the high performance requirements of near-real-time exploitation, a significant amount of effort was devoted to enhancing the performance of an SOA solution. As a follow-on research project, Advanced Stream Mining for Assistive Analysis (ASMAA) is focused on delivering event detection services pluggable into the SDAF framework.

Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) Performance Measures Expression in Performance-Based Service Acquisition (PBSA) Vehicles
The goal of this research was to develop a framework to manage key aspects of SOA technical and contract performance. The framework recommends ROI techniques for performance and monitoring, specific performance metrics, and procurement strategies based on the nature of SOA evolution.
