The Innovation Exchange gives our researchers and sponsors a chance to get together and discuss the research going on at MITRE. |
In 2008, MITRE launched its Innovation Exchange. Building on the former Technology Symposium, these events gives our researchers and sponsors a chance to get together and discuss the research going on at MITRE. The primary goal of the exchanges is to make connections between our principal investigators and the work program managers so they can explore how to apply our research in the customer's environment. By seeing the research, and interacting with the principal investigators, the customers have an opportunity to explore innovative ways of solving their problems.
In addition to sponsors and researchers, in certain situations invitees to these events may also include local university faculty and students, as well as potential MITRE recruits. This provides opportunities to collaborate with outside researchers and bring new talent into the company.
