ABSTRACT

At The MITRE Corporation, the need to ensure that current work is leveraging the experience of the entire company is captured by the imperative to "bring the corporation to bear." Senior leaders introduced this phrase two decades ago—before the first release of the corporate intranet and before the use of programs labeled knowledge management, even though both of those soon were leveraged to reach the goal.
