ABSTRACT

Data about flight is critical to the operation of the National Airspace System (NAS) and to the development of application systems that use flight data and flight data structures. Historically, each application system has developed its own view of flight data and its structure. This document reviews a number of flight-based activities in the NAS. It then describes a flight data model, created with the ERwin relational data modeling product.
