Overview

The Information Warfare Visualization (IWViz) software prototype provides an interactive three-dimensional capability that enhances user perception of Defensive Information Warfare (DIW) data for decision-making and situational awareness purposes. This visualization tool is designed to be useful to operations security analysts, network operators, and DIW managers, and can be viewed on a large screen display or a personal computer monitor.

IWViz provides a situational awareness display and quick assessment capability that uses intrusion information generated by distributed IDS sensor(s) to create and present real-time alerts to users as a graphical representation. Stacks of multi-colored cubes are overlaid on a geographic map, indicating location relevance. A filtering capability lets analysts tailor the display to enhance pattern recognition.
