2017 Washington Post Top Workplace

June 2017

The Washington Post has named The MITRE Corporation to its Top Workplaces list for 2017. MITRE was ranked tenth in the category of largest organizations with 500 employees or more in the Washington, D.C., area. This is the third year in a row that MITRE has made the list.

MITRE employees who work at the organization’s McLean headquarters and elsewhere in the Washington, D.C., area provide systems engineering, research and development, and IT systems and cyber systems support to a range of government sponsors and customers.

The Top Workplaces are determined based solely on employee feedback. The Washington Post's 2017 Top Workplaces survey was conducted by employee survey firm WorkplaceDynamics, a leading research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement. The survey measured individuals' responses to statements regarding key factors related to employee satisfaction including company direction, execution, employee connection, work load and responsibility, management, as well as pay and benefits. The Washington Post published the complete list on June 18, 2017.
