MITRE Employees Honored at Black Engineer of the Year Awards

Four employees of The MITRE Corporation, Walter Ellis, Surina Kennedy, Malcolm Kirwan, and Prakash Subramanian, were honored with Modern-Day Technology Leader Awards during the 2014 Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Global Competitiveness Conference.​

Sponsored by Career Communications Group (CCG), the annual gathering was held in Washington, D.C., February 6-8. The event—now in its 28th year—brought together engineering and IT professionals from the corporate, government, and military communities, along with students, to promote opportunities for underrepresented groups and women in the U.S. technology sector.
