Vice President and Director, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Alliance to Modernize Healthcare
Ms. Patricia Steinbrech is vice president and director of the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Alliance to Modernize Healthcare (CAMH). The MITRE Corporation manages CAMH, a federally funded research and development center, for CMS. In this role, Ms. Steinbrech leads MITRE’s healthcare strategic and business operations.
Ms. Steinbrech joined MITRE in 2017, bringing executive leadership experience in advanced organizational strategy and goals, technology portfolios, and solution engineering with a focus on the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries as well as the healthcare information sector.
She previously served as senior vice president and chief information officer of ACT Inc., a global not-for-profit organization where she led information technology operations and services. Prior to ACT, Ms. Steinbrech spent 18 years at Johnson & Johnson. There, she served as chief information officer and vice president in the global pharmaceuticals supply group, in addition to prior executive roles in data architecture strategy for other divisions.
Ms. Steinbrech is a member of the University of Iowa REACH (Realizing Educational and Career Hopes) Council. The REACH Council provides a campus learning environment for students with intellectual, cognitive, and learning disabilities.
Ms. Steinbrech holds a bachelor’s degree in qualitative business analysis from Pennsylvania State University.
