Mikel Rodriguez Talks Tech Work on Boston TV

How can computers be trained to "see"? Dr. Mikel Rodriguez, group leader in the CNS Advanced ISR Solutions division, talked about his work on WCVB-Boston's "Cutting Edge" program on June 10. Rodriguez told host Mike Wankum that his team uses a new machine learning method known as "deep learning" – trained using a crowdsourced data set obtained from 50,000 people across 136 countries – to help computers automatically recognize objects.
