MITRE Included on Computerworld’s 2020 Best Places to Work in IT

June 23, 2020

MITRE was named one of Computerworld’s Best Places to Work in IT for 2020, ranking 41st out of 52 large organizations and 3rd for benefits out of all companies. This is the 12th time MITRE has been included on the list, and the third year in a row.

“People are attracted to Enterprise Computing, Information and Security [ECIS—MITRE's internal information technology organization] to be part of the larger MITRE mission and have an impact,” says John A. Wilson, interim chief information officer. “They come because they know that they can have a recognized impact in solving problems of national importance.”

To attract and retain the best minds in IT, MITRE provides competitive compensation, including a generous retirement plan, tuition reimbursement, and college loan repayment assistance. A key part of MITRE’s strategy is to create a workplace that enables all employees to realize their maximum potential and career aspirations.

Computerworld’s annual Best Places to Work in IT list (free registration required) is based on a comprehensive questionnaire and employee survey. A company’s benefits, career development, training, and retention all factor into the results.
