MITRE's George Wilamowski Wins Top Prize in Hirsch Research Paper Competition
A paper titled "Using Analytical Hierarchy and Analytical Network Processes to Create Cyber Security Metrics," co-authored by George Wilamowski, systems engineer at MITRE, was recently published in the Defense Acquisition Research Journal. The paper won first prize in the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Alumni Association's (DAUAA) Hirsch Research Paper Competition. Wilamowski co-wrote the paper with Dr. Jason R. Dever, systems engineer supporting the National Reconnaissance Office and Dr. Steven M.F. Stuban, director of the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency's Installation Operations Office.
The Hirsch Research Paper Competition is an annual award given in conjunction with the DAU Symposium. It’s presented by the Alumni Association on behalf of DAU and the DAUAA co-sponsors—in coordination with the DAU Director of Research—for papers that best meet the criteria of significance, impact, and readability.
