Artificial Intelligence and Autonomy Technical Career Day

Friday, March 9
7596 Colshire Drive
McLean, VA

10AM – 2PM

Are you curious about MITRE’s public service mission? Would you like to learn about the type of work MITRE does in artificial intelligence (AI), autonomy, robotics, and unmanned systems? Would you like to explore potential career opportunities at MITRE after you graduate? Would you like to informally network with MITRE technical leaders and hiring managers, and fellow students majoring/specializing in AI/Autonomy?

If you answered yes to any of these questions, you should register for this event. GWU and VA Tech AI/Autonomy students and faculty are invited to visit the MITRE McLean site to interact directly with our staff and learn about our work. There will be several technical presentations which highlight how we use AI and Autonomy to support our sponsor’s missions, a panel discussion on the early career experience at MITRE, and tours of our lab facilities. Commercial Space Transportation Workshop

February 6, 2018
8:00am to 6:00pm
MITRE 1 Building
7525 Colshire Drive
McLean, VA 22102

Stanford University in collaboration with the University of Colorado and FAA/AST will be holding a R&D workshop associated with the FAA’s Center of Excellence for Commercial Space Transportation (COE/CST) in Research Area 1 (RA1), which consists of themes related to Air and Space Traffic Management, Space Environment and Spaceports.

The purpose of the workshop will be to educate the audience about ongoing research in RA1 and to foster discussion on new research ideas and collaboration.

There will be two sessions:

  1. Morning session will involve Space Traffic Management and the Space Environment;
  2. Afternoon session will involve National Airspace System (NAS) Commercial Space Integration and Spaceports.

We invite those involved in these particular areas of research, or those who would like to be involved to attend and to feel free to share this notice with those who are not on the list but you think should attend. Due to conference room size we have a maximum of 85 per workshop but Skype capability will be available. While registrants can attend both workshops, we will be giving those with direct interests priority.

Registration for Non-US Citizens closes COB 1/26/18 and for US Citizens closes COB 2/2/18.

On 2/3/18 those registered will receive an email with directions to the MITRE 1 building, Metro Rail information, and a QR code for secure parking.

If you indicated you are not a US Citizen, you will receive an email asking you to provide additional information prior to the workshop.
