The AFCEA Homeland Security Conference (Sept. 12-13) and Federal Identity Forum & Exposition—FedID 17 (Sept. 12-14) will be held together at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, in Washington, D.C., this September. MITRE's John Kreger, vice president of HLSC/HSSEDI, is the chair of the AFCEA Homeland Security Committee, which is also planning the Homeland Security Conference. Duane Blackburn, MITRE science and technology policy analyst and group leader, chairs the FedID Planning Committee. Both Kreger and Blackburn will speak at the combined event as well.
Formerly known as the Global Identity Summit, FedID 17 is the U.S. federal government’s primary outreach and collaboration-building event with the worldwide identity community. The Homeland Security Conference welcomes a diverse protection professionals—from subject matter experts to front-line responders—and this year’s theme is "Detect, Enforce, Secure: Partners Serving our Nation."
