Ms. Eileen M. Boettcher
Vice President, Joint and Services Programs, Center for Programs and Technology
Eileen Boettcher is vice president, Joint and Services Programs, in MITRE's Center for Programs and Technology. In that role, she leads MITRE's support to Army, Navy, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), and Missile Defense, Global Operations, and Intelligence Programs.
She previously served as technical director for the Law Enforcement and Domestic Security Program Division in the National Security Engineering Center, the federally funded research and development center MITRE manages for the DoD and intelligence community.
Boettcher has more than 30 years of experience in systems engineering in areas such as distributed systems and computing, parallel processing, and networking. She has held other project and technical leadership positions, supporting a variety of DoD and Intelligence organizations, including the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and the Defense Information Systems Agency. She has provided technical leadership on many programs supporting DoD, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Intelligence Community.
Before joining MITRE, Boettcher worked as a member of the Technical Staff at IBM. She provided parallel distributed computing solutions to a large financial firm on Wall Street. She also developed modern front-end computer interfaces to mainframe applications for a variety of commercial customers. At the Analytic Services Corporation (ANSER), she was the technical lead for the U.S. Air Force Armament Division (SAF/AQPV) Automation Project.
She has bachelor of science degrees in mathematics and computer science from Marquette University and a master of science degree in computer science from George Mason University.
