Cloud adoption continues to grow across the federal government. FedRAMP provides a secure, cost effective pathway for agencies to ensure appropriate security for their cloud solutions. FedRAMP is designed to create economies of scale by applying a “do once, use many times” approach to cloud security.  This effectively reduces the time and expense required for Agencies to adopt cloud services.

Over 100 agencies, 150 CSPs, and 40 3PAO assessors have successfully leveraged FedRAMP. Applying the FedRAMP process is an important part of cloud adoption security and risk reduction, but Agencies are ultimately accountable for risk to their systems and information. This briefing provides a FedRAMP overview and covers stakeholders, processes, migration examples, and other important considerations.
