Wilson Wang

Wilson Wang is senior vice president, chief financial officer, and treasurer of MITRE. He leads the company’s financial strategy and stewardship, with responsibility for strengthening MITRE’s long-term financial resilience, affordability, and capacity to invest in the mission. His portfolio includes accounting and controllership, financial planning and analysis, strategic pricing and pursuits, contracts and market intelligence, finance business partnering, program control, treasury and investments, internal audit, financial systems, procurement, and business analytics.

Wang shapes MITRE’s financial and operating model for adaptability, competitiveness, and long-term resilience. His work spans demand and capacity planning, cost competitiveness, pricing and contracting strategy, and the development of new capabilities and business models that expand MITRE’s impact, preserve its independence, and advance the public interest. A major focus of his tenure has been transforming MITRE’s capital structure to strengthen liquidity, broaden financial capacity, and evaluate the role of debt and self-financing, enabling MITRE to leverage capital, assets, and investments to withstand disruption and sustain long-term mission investment.

Prior to becoming CFO, Wang served as MITRE’s head of finance and assistant treasurer. He also founded MITRE’s enterprise analytics capability, focused on advanced analytics and decision support for strategic, financial, and operational priorities.

Before joining MITRE, Wang led global financial planning and analysis for a $7 billion business unit at Computer Sciences Corporation, where he also supported acquisition due diligence and post-merger integration. Earlier in his career, he held roles at Lockheed Martin and BearingPoint.

Outside MITRE, Wang is president-elect of the University of Maryland Alumni Association and serves on its board of governors. He also serves on the board of directors of Blue Star Families, the nation’s largest military family nonprofit organization, where he serves as finance committee chair.

Wang earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management and a bachelor’s degree in general business from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business.
