Director, Critical Major Weapon Systems

Gen. Dale R. White is the Director, Critical Major Weapon Systems, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. As a direct reporting portfolio manager to the Deputy Secretary of War, Gen. White is responsible for weapon systems most critical to national security, including: Sentinel and Minuteman III systems, the F-47 family of systems, the B-21 family of systems, and Air Force One, with a total portfolio value approaching $250 billion. In this role, Gen. White also serves as the senior acquisition advisor to the Secretary of the Air Force for all acquisition matters.

Gen. White is a 1997 Distinguished Graduate of ROTC Detachment 845, at Texas Christian University. His career has included a wide variety of scientific, acquisition and operational planning assignments involving space, cyber and aircraft systems; including assignments at the Space and Missile Systems Center, Air Force Lifecycle Management Center, Air Force Research Laboratory, Headquarters Air Intelligence Agency, BIG SAFARI Systems Group, Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office and three Program Executive Officer leadership roles.

Prior to his current position, he served as the Military Deputy, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, Technology and Logistics, the Pentagon, Arlington, Virginia. In that role, he was entrusted with comprehensive oversight for a vast portfolio of programs, guiding them from initial research and development stages through rigorous testing, full-scale production and long-term sustainment efforts executing more than $60 billion annually.
