MITRE FFRDCs

For more than 75 years, the U.S. government has continually affirmed the value of federally funded research and development centers (FFRDCs) as long-term partners for mission success. By law, FFRDCs can’t manufacture products or compete directly with industry. But they can and do help industry work more effectively with government to address complex national challenges.

MITRE operates six FFRDCs on behalf of government agency sponsors. Each FFRDC delivers cross-domain technical expertise that benefits our nation and the world.
